This 12-week Women in Construction Trades Program gives participants hands-on experience so they gain basic understanding of four common construction trades: carpentry, construction craft worker, plumbing and electrical.
This program, which is offered in Barriere, promotes and supports safe workplace practices and skill development. Upon completion of the program, participants will have the tickets, experience and hands-on skills to pursue a trades education or gain construction employment.
This fully funded program included tuition, books, safety tickets, personal protective equipment, and daycare expenses for those who qualify and are accepted. Living expenses are not provided.
