Intermediate Analyst, Crossings, TMEP (term role)

Job Description

As an Intermediate Analyst, Crossings with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of professionals in the Land department. This position is based in our Calgary office.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and compile information on all third-party contracts and permits and provide reports in advance of construction.
  • Communicate progress reports and create task tracking spreadsheets. 
  • Coordinate and liaise with third-party vendors and internal departments, including the Engineering, Damage Prevention, and plan/profile preparation groups. 
  • Review third party crossing/consent agreements.
  • Respond to requests for information from the team and track performance. 
  • Support the Road Use Program, as required.
  • Undertake special assignments as required by the Manager, Land Services to assist in procurement of any land interests for the project. 
  • Provide ongoing senior administrator support to the Manager, Land Services.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing third party contracts or crossings is required. 
  • Knowledge of petroleum pipeline systems.
  • Experience successfully planning and executing the acquisition of third party permits and agreements on major projects. 
  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of project professionals. 
  • Experience with regulatory agencies and knowledge of the CER Act and Regulations is necessary.

  • Ability to oversee the work of third party contractors required.  
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions based on circumstances and varying facts. 
  • Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and multiple project demands.

Other Requirements and Information

  • Based in Calgary.
  • 10-20% travel may be required.
