Proposal Manager 

 Located in the North Thompson valley, at Simpcw Resources Group we provide environmental, management, and operational services while preserving Simpcw culture and heritage with respect towards the environment. Our goals include creating economic growth from the commercial development of natural resources within the Simpcw'ulécw (Simpcw Territory) by being the major contractor and competing for work in both the public and private sectors. 

Current Opportunities

Simpcw Resources LLP is growing rapidly and looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Proposal Manager to join our team. Reporting to the PMO Management Team, the Proposal Manager will be responsible for the submission of quotations and provide alignment in submissions of proposals between all business units, 

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of timely bid submissions. 
  • Support new revenue streams bids that do not fall under existing Business Units. 
  • Setup commercial team reviews and perform commercial evaluation prior to bid submission. 
  • Setup commercial team risk assessments and perform risk assessment of potential pricing requests. 
  • Develop a documentation library with other shared resources to assist all business units in the submission of proposals (rate sheets, safety documentation, project experience, corporate resumes, etc.) 
  • Develop a Document Control structure that can be maintained administratively upon completion. 
  • Interface with the contracts specialist to ensure alignment of contracts with clients and proactively prepare subcontracts required for upcoming and potential work. 
  • Responsible for accurately estimating the costs of projects, ensuring that competitive bids are being provided while maintaining profitability. 
  • Creation and implementation of a functional document control. 
  • Review drawing, addenda, and tender documents to understand the scope of work and submission requirements. 
  • Support departmental managers with the timey submission of proposals. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Strong preference given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline. 
  • Two (2) years experience writing and coordinating RFQ and RFP processes in the oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in contract management, assessment, and negotiation. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 
  • Strong analytical skills to assess performance data and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in contract management, assessment, and negotiation. 
  • Knowledge of the Simpcw First Nations community is valued
