Meet Your Instructor

Kirsty Salmon

Kirsty grew up on the west coast of Scotland, where a passion for outdoor pursuits was deeply ingrained from an early age. As a teenager, she became a Ski Instructor, a role that allowed her to fund travels while pursuing a degree in Forensic Science. After graduating, she made the journey to British Columbia, Canada, where she called Sun Peaks home for six years. During this time, she immersed herself in Adaptive Snowsports, teaching both skiing and snowboarding to students. Not long after she took on the role of course conductor, where she led instructor training sessions at multiple mountain resorts throughout BC.

Throughout her teaching career, she has remained committed to maintaining first aid training, continuously applying these skills in both personal and professional contexts. Kirsty has utilized this expertise in Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks, volunteered with Barriere Search and Rescue, and applied her knowledge within her role at Simpcw Resources Group. This combination of experience and dedication shows her commitment to safety, and the well-being of others.
