Tournament Format: Texas Scramble
This year’s tournament will follow the Texas Scramble format, ensuring an engaging and competitive round for all players. Here’s how it works:
- Teams of Four: Each team consists of four players.
- Tee Shots: All team members tee off on each hole. The team then selects the best drive and plays from that position.
- Subsequent Shots: The process continues, with players placing their ball within one club length of the chosen shot until the ball is holed.
- Putting: Once on the green, the team selects the best ball position for all members to putt from.
- Scoring: The team’s score for each hole is determined by the total number of strokes taken to hole the ball.
- Handicaps: A percentage of each player’s handicap may be combined to calculate the team’s overall handicap, ensuring fair competition.
- Driving Requirements & Penalties: Standard golf rules apply, with some tournaments requiring a minimum number of tee shots from each player.
