Delivery Driver

Located in the North Thompson valley, at Simpcw Resources Group we provide environmental, management, and operational services while preserving Simpcw culture and heritage with respect towards the environment. Our goals include creating economic growth from the commercial development of natural resources within the Simpcw'ulécw (Simpcw Territory) by being the major contractor and competing for work in both the public and private sectors.

Current Opportunities:

Simpcw Resources LLP are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Delivery Driver to be responsible for various deliveries as part of the pipeline maintenance group. The successful individual will provide ongoing support to the pipeline maintenance project team and will assist with the accurate and timely delivery of materials, supplies and other requests. 

Responsibilities:

  • Load, transport and deliver items to multiple pipeline maintenance project sites.
  • Coordinate deliveries with attention to time management.
  • Assist in maintenance, service of the trucks, yard and support equipment as required.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Review orders before and after deliveries are made to ensure that deliveries are correct.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items when required.
  • Assist asset team in the sign in/out of tools and equipment.
  • Assist in the organization, maintenance, and upkeep of yard storage as well as tool crib areas.
  • Abide by all transportation laws, the employers safe driving program and maintain a safe driving record at all times.
  • Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures and transportation laws.
  • Ability to walk, drive, lift and carry heavy items for an extended period of time.
