Simpcw Resources LLP alongside its business affiliates Trans Mountain and Ledcor raised over $4,775.00 from the combined workforce of these organizations on the Pipeline Reactivation Project in Jasper. The money raised was donated to the Chu Chua Volunteer Fire Department on June 3rd, 2021. The cheque was presented by Brant Cameron TMEP, Tom Flannery SLLP, D’arcy Scallon SLLP, Mary Mackenzie SLLP, to a member of the fire department Jonathon Baggio. 

The Chu Chua Volunteer Fire Department & First Responders has been operating since 1985 and started with 8 active members. Currently, the Fire Department has 12 members, including the Fire Chief. The Fire Hall is in Chu Chua located on Dunn Lake Road, which was built in 2017. Chu Chua is located more than 20 minutes from the nearest emergency clinic or hospital, First Responders are important because they can provide immediate help to a patient that will sustain them while they travel to a medical facility for treatment.
