Asset Coordinator

Job Summary

Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Asset Coordinator is responsiblefor performing a variety of tasks that support operations and various projects and needs, including but not limited to sourcing out materials, scheduling maintenance and servicing, exchanging vehicles between various locations, and performing small mechanical tasks as needed.


  • Picking up and purchasing supplies, parts, and materials for various departments within the company
  • Scheduling maintenance and deliveries as required
  • Picking up and dropping off equipment and vehicles for servicing, maintenance, and inspections
  • Small mechanical tasks such as installing after-market equipment on trucks, trailers, and other miscellaneous equipment
  • Assist other employees in obtaining materials, supplies and resources when required
  • Cleaning, organizing, and stocking vehicles
  • Organizing and cleaning the yard and shop in Chu Chua
  • Completing checklists and inspections as required
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Experience driving a trailer
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license (minimum class 7) and clean abstract
  • Additional licensing and endorsements are considered an asset
  • Experience moving equipment (heavy loads is considered an asset.)
  • Experience working with First Nations people is valued
  • Knowledge of the Simpcw First Nations community is valued
